The results of Turkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises (ICI 500) survey prepared by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry have been announced. According to the results, 6 of the 9 Mersin companies on the list improved their performance in the previous year and climbed up to the top rankings.
Despite the difficult conditions such as the pandemic, earthquake disaster and financial problems, companies that provide foreign currency inflow to the country by evaluating their value-added production in export markets constitute the cornerstone of economic development in Turkiye. Domestic companies, which produce a wide range of products from food to vehicle industry, from pharmaceuticals and cosmetics to technology, consolidate their success with their positions in national and international lists. The ICI 500 list announced in 2023 once again demonstrated what domestic capital can achieve. Standing out with its high capacity - especially in pulses and grain processing - 9 companies of Mersin made it to the ICI 500. 6 companies in the foodstuffs industry sector, 1 each in the vehicle industry, stone and soil-based industry and plastic products industry sectors were among the 500 largest companies in the country. In the announced list, Bashan Agro ranked 108th, Aves Energy-Oil ranked 132nd, Memisoglu Agricultural Products ranked 197th, Arbel Pulses ranked 216th, Koluman Automotive Industry ranked 254th, Armada Gida ranked 301st, Teknopanel ranked 306th, Durum Gida ranked 454th, and Yilbor Boru ranked 491st. When compared with the list announced last year; It was observed that Aves Energy-Oil rose 4 steps, Arbel 63 places, Koluman 164 places, Armada 46 places, Teknopanel 24 places and Durum Gida 39 places.
